Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data Ramosa collects, why we collect it and the rights you have over it. “We” means James Knowles, a sole trader trading as Ramosa, of 2 New Little Mill, Manchester, M4 6GH. You can reach us about anything here at hello@ramosa.co.uk.
What we collect
- Enquiries. When you use Start a project or email us: your name, email address, company, website, and what you tell us about your project, budget and timing.
- Clients. If you use the client area: your account details, the files, messages and approvals you share with us, meeting details, and your invoices and payment records.
- Technical data. Your IP address and browser details, in server logs and to protect sign-in and forms from abuse.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a proposal, at your request or because we have a legitimate interest in responding.
- To deliver the work we’ve agreed and run the client area, as part of our contract with you.
- To keep accounting and tax records, because the law requires it.
- To keep the site secure and working, which is our legitimate interest.
We don’t sell your data.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the people and services that help us do the work: the specialists in the Ramosa collective working on your project, our website hosting and email providers, Stripe for card and bank payments, and Google if we arrange a meeting through Google Calendar. They may only use it to provide that service. Some of them may process data outside the UK. When they do, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with what you’ve asked about. We keep project and client records for as long as we work together and for a reasonable time afterwards. We keep accounting records for six years, as UK tax rules require.
Cookies
The public pages don’t set advertising cookies. If you sign in to the client area, we use cookies to keep you signed in and secure. If you arrive through a client’s referral link or a report we’ve sent you, a cookie remembers that link. If we measure visits to this site, we do it with a cookie-free analytics service that doesn’t identify you.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it or send you a copy. You can also object to how we use it. Email hello@ramosa.co.uk and we’ll reply within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update this page.
